Diaper Creme
I am looking for a good diaper creme for my 16month old son. He doesn't get diaper rash very often but when he does his poor tush is just bright red and raw. I am currently using a product called Dyprotex(only found at Walgreens). My best friend used it on her kids so of course I've tried it.I'd like to see what other mom's opinions are on other diaper cremes.

This might sound a little crazy, but when my son was a baby we used corn starch. I thought my mom was nuts when she suggested it, but it worked everytime. Super cheap too. Hope this helps.

I swear by bag-o-balm. I knoe this sounds crazy, but my pediatrician told me about it and it is the best thing ever. My son had diaper rash so bad when I brought him home he was bleeding. This cleared it up in a day.
I funny thing is that you have to look in the pet department at Walmart to find it It is in a grren can with a cow on it. Also can be found at Costco, but you have to ask the pharmist for it.
My cousin also has got hooked on this with her little one

I 2nd Boudreaux's Butt Paste. It's a little more expensive but it works in half the time. You can get it at Target or Walgreen's. Some Wal-Marts have it too.

I recommend using desitine creme. It worked wonders on my daughter. sometimes, depending on the child, pure cornstarch will help too. If you put epsom salt in your baby's bath, it will help to heal the rash too, just make sure he doesn't get any of it in his mouth and swallow it, because it is a natural laxitive. It won't necesarily hurt him, but it will give him bad diapers... so, thats all I got. good luck!

Bag Balm all the way...i tried everything. she rarely ever gets a rash anymore, but as extra precaution, put it on every night before bed until potty trained, it helps a lot! and is good for their skin.

I love the Boudreaux's Butt Paste but I have also used the Bagbalm and both are great. The Bagbalm has a little bit of antibiotic in it so I like that feature. Hope this helps.

I am a SAHM of a 2 year old boy, and one on the way. Whenever my son used to get diaper rash it seemed like whatever we used would burn on his poor sensitive skin. The only thing that really worked for us is a product called "Bag Balm". It is designed to use on Cows Udders when they get dry, chapped, cracked, or sunburned. It is in a green square shaped metal box. We found ours at the Pharmacy. My neighbor also swears by the product and we don't use anything else. Rash is cleared up within a day in most cases.
Hope this helps!

Hi C.,
There is this diaper rash creme called Butt Paste. You can find it anywhere. I know it's a funny name but it works.
