If you have a sinus and ear problem and the antibiotics only work temorary it maybe allergies. Everyone thinks I am crazy when I say this but when my was diagnoses with allergies i thought my dr was crazy because I thought I had a double ear infection, broncitis and maybe strep and she gave me allergy pills and a nasal spray... the next day with just one dose i can not tell you how much better I felt. Good luck and feel better.

A lady I work with had this problem. She actually underwent the surgery to correct it (not the most pleasant surgery from what I gathered). But regardless, she's now headache free and very glad she did it!

S.,

I would suggest a good Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist. A great one in our area is Dr. Yanakazawa (spelling is wrong) Jr. He has a great reputation and I'm sure he would be the one to best to assist resolving your problem.

Get the toxins out of your home! What kind of cleaning, and laundry products do you use? My family and I switched our cleaning products to ones with fewer toxins in them and it has made a world of difference! My son has not had an asthma attack in over a year! We've only been to the doctor for sick visits twice this year and you KNOW how bad it has been this year! If you want to learn more and how this can be done please email me. Good health to you!

take the child to the doctor! kids are very prone to ear infections and you cant always tell they have one. and when they lay down there is more pressure on thier ear drums so it hurts much more.
my kids have had many ear infections even when i thought there was nothing there...antibiotics will help the child. it takes a day or 2 to kick in but it will give relief.

I found that diet can make a big difference. Have you tried that? Staying away from dairy is important.

My daughter had problems with her ears and we didnt even know it. Her eustation tubes are too small it turns out and we had tubes put in. Took less than 10 minutes and she was better the next day. in turn her nasal problems cleared up as well. She went from being 75% deaf and having constant "cold" symptoms to being a healthy, active, very talkitive 8 year old girl. See an E N T specialist, it could be as simple as an allergy as well. Good luck.

Hello, welcome to my world...sorta.
I had the surgery for my deviated septum about 6 years ago; thankfully I have been healthy since. I consistently had sinus congestion, infections and headaches. The surgery corrected this. The surgury is less painful than child birth, more painful than having tonsils out (had this done at 26 yrs) and bloody. I would do it again if needed, the benefits far outway the potential pain. I had extreme sinus problems for years, went to an allergist, found out I had allergies, got shots for 3 years, had the surgery, etc I have totally cut out as many sulfates in my food as possible. Drinking water all the time certainly helps, don't drink anything with caffeine. A healthy lifestyle has helped me as well.

It may very well be allergies. My daughter had terrible sinus problems and actually had sugery to correct a deviated septum. Which helped the sinusitis but revealed the fact the she had allergies.

Trying to eliminate items, food, limit exposure to pets, a use less toxic cleaning products, etc. but if you can not pin point the cause yourself, you might need the help of an allergist.

Have you tried removing anything from your diet? Ear infections run strongly in my family due to the shape of our ear canals, so we thought we were doomed to have chronic ear infections and repairative surgeries the rest of our lives. But about 2 years ago I removed dairy completely from my diet and discovered that when I don't eat it I have no problems with my ear,and as soon as I eat a bowl of ice cream or whatever I get an instant ear infection. Good Luck!
