Desperately Seeking OB-GYN Who Can Handle About PCOS/ Reproductive Endocrinologi
am writing for a friend who has PCOS and has had some surgeries done to get cysts removed from her ovaries. She has changed 3 OB-GYNs and none of the 3 have ever suggested meds to help with the PCOS or other help with conceiving. Please send me some names of OB-GYNs that have worked with you or your friends dealing with PCOS and carrying successful pregnancies. Alternatively, if you have names of reproductive endocrinologists...that might help too.

I have PCOS and struggled for 2 years with fertility issues related to the PCOS. I love my OB - but he inisted that I see an endocrinologist. I saw Dr. Anil Pinto for 18 months, until my insurance changed and he was no longer on the plan. We ended up stopping all fertility treatments and I went to an acupuncturist. She regulated my PCOS within 2 months of treatment and I was pregnant at the end of month 3. I gave birth to our son in August!! I have attached all contacts.
Good luck to your friend.

A friend of mine was recently having these issues and she started going to my OBGYN and was pregnant within her first month.
I cannot speak to her treatment of these issues first hand because I do not suffer from PCOS, but I have only heard good things about my doc from my friend.

I am 34 was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 30 and trying to get pregnant. MY OB who I have gone to since 1999 is Dr. Amy Sigman. When I went to her with concerns she immediately ran bloodwork and tests...there was no waiting like other friends. I heard some doctors make you wait a full year before they will try anything. I was fortunate that I responded very well to Metaformin and after 3 months of being on it got pregnant.

** That's Dr. Sigman on the front page of the website holding the baby **
There are 5 others in the practice which are ALL fabulous too. Dr. Napier delivered my first child and Dr. Harms delivered my second child because both were born on a weekend when Dr. Sigman was not on call.
They are absolutely TOP NOTCH - been rated in D Magazine several time as well as other US doctor awards. Just read their bios and you know you are with some of the best doctors. I honestly cannot say enough good things about Dr. Sigman or the rest of the staff!
