I'm looking for recommendations for a really good dental office in the Shawnee, or northern Lenexa area (like to stay north of 87th, and east of Lackman, or so). This would be for me and my husband only.
Also, I'm looking for recommendations on pediatric dentists - I've looked at web sites for Hemberger in OP, Jenkins & LeBlanc in Shawnee, and Parrish & Stinnett in OP, and wondering what your thoughts are on these dentists, if you've seen them. I would like someone who is really good with reluctant dental patients.
I also take my kids to Dr. Parrish. We like it a lot. I know he has reduced his hours and may be close to retirement...
I adore Dr. Hemberger! He was my dentist growing up, and I'm planning to take our oldest to see him after the first of the year. He is also an orthodontist which made it so much less scary when I ended up needing braces/retainers/other fun stuff.
My personal dentist is in Lawrence, so no help there. But I take my daughter to Jenkins and LeBlanc, and they are FABULOUS!! She sees Dr. Mike (LeBlanc), and he is wonderful with her, as are all the hygenists. There are screens above every chair for the kids to watch movies/shows and be distracted, video games and movies in the lobby, the kids get goodie bags, a balloon and a "prize"...and best of all - they get ice cream at the end! My daughter looks forward to going, for sure.
My kids see Dr Parrish. He is fantastic, he is very fast and always joking with the kids. My kids actually like to go see him. His receptionists aren't the friendliest but him and his hygienist are fabulous! I highly recommend him!
Drs. Keith & Wilson are the absolute BEST!!!!!! Been going to them for about 15 years!
I LOVE Dr. Jenkins! Best experience ever for my girls. I'm so glad I found them. I highly reccommend that you go with Dr. jenkins!!! Everyone in her office is great, and they NEVER force anything on your child that they are not comfortable with.
