Daycare Referral Needed

I am looking for a daycare that teaches my 2 year old rather than babysits which isn't hard to find, the kicker is that I would like it to be under $160 per week. I need to make ends meet which means working but can't make enough to pay $200 per week on a daycare and pay the bills.

Hi H.,
I would like to meet with you. I have openings in my in-home daycare "Hunnys Daycare" which I started about 2 years ago after my granddaughter was born. I do lots of activities with my children here, like arts & crafts, learning to say, read and write letters, lots of music and outdoor activities when weather permits. I live in St. Paul, 6 minutes to downtown St. Paul, about 6 minutes to Woodbury easy access off freeway. Give me a call so we can chat about my daycare, rates and you and your son's needs. You may reach me at ###-###-#### or ____@____.com, I do have referrals for you too.

H.-

I too am a single mom with a two year old so I feel your struggle. My daycare is in St. Paul and is great- a little on the babysitter side but they do a lot of activities and arts and crafts, reading, dancing, music, etc. My daycare rate is 175 a week- not 160 (sorry) but a good rate from what i have seen and will do down at age 3-- if you are interested let me know and I will give you her contact information.

I have a day care lady who lives in Eagan, which is south of St. Paul who does day care for under $150/ week. I highly recommend her, and if you would like her information, I can get that for you.

Miss Deb has an in home daycare in St Paul. Codt is $28/day. My two children will be starting there on Monday. She seems great.....good luck!

I was in a similar situation, but I was able to live with my parents and did not have a boyfriend. I found that the preschools at churches were the least expensive. Most do not accept kids under the age of 3, they have to be potty trained.
My daughter currently goes to Destiny christian center which has part-time preschool for 3+ year olds. But they have Kindergarden all day T, W, Th. My daughter is 5 and was not ready for real kindergarden so I put here there and next year she will start in the public schools. It only costs $190 a month for 3 full days a week.

Otherwise I would try to find a college student, they are usually less expensive. Good Luck
