Daughter Wants a Dress for Christmas

My almost 6 year old tells me the other day she wants Santa to bring her a pretty, pink, sparkly dress for Christmas! lol Santa thought he was done shopping for her, and had already gotten the single thing she had been asking for (robot dinosaur!).

I will have an opportunity to go shopping alone this evening. Where in the world can I find a dress like this? LOL Or if I have to I can order one online.

Any suggestions of places to look? We have a lot of major stores around town (I'm near Huntsville, AL).

So What Happened?™

Success!! My sister & I went on a mission last night haha We went to a few stores and finally found something at Kohls. I actually ended up getting 2 things because they were so cute :) And Kohls had stuff 50% off! :) The hunt was kind of frustrating because I was finding pretty sparkly dresses in every color BUT pink! LOL NOW her Christmas shopping is complete :)

BTW, I don't think she was talking about dress-up clothes, because she already has a bunch of those. I got her a couple of dresses that should could wear out & to school.

Can it be a skirt and top? I found a sparkly skirt and a similar top for my daughter at Target. They even had pink sparkly shoes to match. I would also check J C Penney, Sears and Kohl’s they usually have a nice selection of girls dresses.

I don't know about the Malls in your area, but the ones in my area have been getting more and more stores in them that are just children's clothes, Crazy 8, Justice..you might could find websites for them, well I'm sure, everything has a website nowadays, and those stores have adorable clothes. There is one store that is even equipped with a runway down the middle that they can strut their stuff on, put on accessories and small heels, it's too cute! Besides that though, from what I've noticed, all girls clothes and accessories are coming standard with sequins these days! I'm sure you can find her a sparkly pink dream dress just about anywhere. Im sure if you googled "pink sparkly dress" youd find a way to buy it.

other than that you can always buy a dress up gown from walmart or target and you can always just buy a pink dress and spray it with fabric glitter.

I'd go to a resale shop! They have BEAUTIFUL items...I wouldn't put a ton of money into something she wouldn't get much use out of. Unless of course, you have that money...Call first, some have more of that type of thing than others.

I love buying from etsy mommas, I have gotten gorgeous sparkly pink tutus for my girls from there. I'm sure you could find a sparkly dress too. Find a store that has fast shipping and voila,

If you google in- then hit "shopping" on the side, you can select a dress you like, then you can select "in stock nearby" and you can see which stores carry it. Good luck! My daughter decided last minute that Santa was bringing her a Rapunzel wig- thought we were done too :)

I used to buy dresses for my girls at the resale shop. The fancier the dress, the more likely it was only worn once or twice and still looks new.
