I don't know what area of town you are in, but my husband and I enjoy going to the Addison Improv for Comedy shows. Sometimes we will go to the Melting Pot for Fondue either before or after for a special dining experience. They are very close to each other. If you are still looking to go after all that there is Pete's Piano Bar by the Improv that does the funny entertaining dual piano playing - songs everyone knows and gets the audiance involved! Good luck and have fun!

Have you every been to a fondue place before? Those are kinda romantic and you get lots of talk time, too. It can be kinda expensive if you do the entire dinner and dessert thing, so if you're on a limited budget, then maybe just go there for dessert. I also think that coffee shops are great places to go on nice evenings because you can sit and talk for a long time, in a quiet atmosphere.

My husband and I recently went to 300 Dallas (http://www.threehundred.com/dallas.html) in Addison, and had a blast! It's bowling, but for grown-ups almost. :) Its a really nice place, kinda swanky... has really good music, really good food, with waiters that come to your area and stuff. There is no smoking and somewhat of a dresscode. There's a bar area with billiards and all that too. Its the fun of bowling without the nastiness of the smells and the weird people. haha! And it was just something different. We had a really great time... and definitely have recommended it to friends. :)

Have a fun date night!

G.,
There are several things you can do on date night. Go play putt putt golf, bowling, play pool, Speed zone-they have go carts, six flags, (for another week there is haunted house. I am not sure, but i think that the mueseum might be open that late. You could go to club and go dancing. If you want to ... stay home... either cook or order in a nice meal and play games... I hope these ideas help.

As someone else suggested, Four Day Weekend in Fort Worth is great! Go to their website to reserve tickets because they do sell out. It's right on Sundance Square where there is always something going on. There are plenty of places to dine there too. If you are looking for a good overnight date, we stayed at Etta's Place which is right there too. It's so nice!

Addison Improv is really fun too and there are many dining choices in the area.

Have fun!

Check out TopGolf in Dallas (http://www.topgolfusa.com/Locations/US/Dallas/Default.aspx). I've never golfed and had the best time! It's basically a driving range but with a twist. The balls have chips in them that keep your score after they are hit and land in targets. It is a lot of fun and if the hubby is into golf, he'll love it, of course, but if you show an interest as well, it could be something you guys love to do together!

Good Luck!

We are approaching 21 yrs married on new years eve. One thing we have Always done is date night weekly. It is a priority.

We like happy hour, dinner, maybe dancing ( all 3 in 1
night sometimes just 1). We love fine restaurants and wine so we that as well. The priority is to have alone time. You don't have to break the bank every weeknd to enjoy some quality time.

My hubb is a golfer. Some dates are during the day on the golf course, simply walking in the park. We love sports and go to games or sports bats to be involved with NFL and college events.

Right now, I have teens at my house weekly. I'd rather them hang out where I know what's going on! So, today for example, he already pulled a steak out from the freezerand put potatoes in to bake while I teach. Well have dinner before the teens get to our home.

It's great that you are thinking about this and realize the importance.

You don't have to go out physically every weekend, just manage some alone time.

* a picnic by a lake or at a quiet park, where you two can just talk and enjoy each others company.

* if up for fun... what about a scavenger/treasure hunt around town? You might even join in with another couple.

* bowling

* a free concert

* movies in the park (these are making a comeback)

* go window shopping or walk downtown if near a big city

* fishing

* send kids to grandmas and give each massages

* get together with another couple and play board games or card games

* go see a local college football game

* hiking or an overnight camping trip

Just some thoughts.

My husband is a typical man....very into cars (he's a mechanic) and pretty much anything with a motor! So we'll go to car or motorcycle shows together. Or we also enjoy going to concerts (we like country music, so we go to Cowboy's Red River sometimes-it's where we met!). We also like walking around the Stockyard's and downtown Ft Worth. Just think of what you both like to do and find something to do with that. If you don't like the same things, then compromise. Even though I like cars, I look at them then move on, but DH examines them closely and all the details! Do something you like one month, then his thing the next. For us it's more about the time together and not just what we're doing.

Mesquite rodeo if you like action; go to open houses and walk through the homes - great conversations can come out of these; go to the Galleria and either ice skate or watch the ice skating while enjoying a nice conversation. I noticed that one answer on here had TONS of stuff to do! Should keep y'all busy for quite a few date nights. :-) Good luck!
