Date Ideas
My husband and I currently seperated and are starting to "date" again to rekindle our romance... I need some date ideas. We don't want to do the normal dinner and a movie!

Sign up for Event Alert. They send out email announcements usually daily for events coming up within the week - usually events that have extra seats to fill.
Send an email to ____@____.com and ask to be added. Tickets are usually $5-10/person. I've seen Fastball (band), Dallas Symphony performances, TITAS events, and other performances for a fraction of their regular cost. You could plan a date night and then see what's available and pick from what's offered (and if nothing is offered that you want to see, you can have a back-up plan).

Maybe some activities.....one that I have discovered is Top Golf on Park Lane (east of 75 almost to Skillman or is it Abrams?). You get a bucket of balls that have a chip in them and you hit balls like at a driving range, but you are trying to get them into big targets. You do not have to be a good golfer (in fact, many who are there have never golfed before). They have clubs for you. It is not expensive and it is a lot of fun. You get some real laughs (from swinging and missing the ball.....to hitting a little blooper only 5 or 6 feet). I really recommend this one as a fun activity.

Tango and Cha cha's offers dance classes I believe every Friday night, followed by several hours of open dance. It is a lot of fun, my husband and I use to go all the time before our daughter was born.

One of our favorite dates is The Melting Pot in Addison. Its a Fondue place, so it is sort of an interactive dinner and takes awhile -not your usual dinner at all. So good and so much fun! A lot of times we will go next door afterwards to either the Improv Comedy Club or Pete's Piano Bar depending on which kind of mood we are in - both are are a great time!

Go to a park and walk around just holding hands and talking. Go Dancing. Good luck I hope you find lots of stuff that you can do! May God bless you and your marriage!

Sounds like you got some really great ideas on here already. One more that is fun is a wine tasting. That's always fun. There's a place in downtown Grapevine called Tastings which is really neat, there's also Tony's in uptown which I like.

My husband and I always love going to a comedy club. Hyena's in Arlington is our favorite, especially since they have a non-smoking show so we aren't so stinky afterwards. We also drove to the Oklahoma border on our anniversary and spent the evening at the Winstar Casino playing quarter slots. We had a blast doing that!

Here are a few ideas...I don't know if they will apply to you, but these are things that I have done for date nights and also some of my girlfriends have done with their husbands, fiances, etc.
1. Play a sport together...(I know the weather is cold so this might be something to do when it warms up) Tennis, Volleyball (indoor or outdoor), whatever the sport you are both interested in.
2. Board Games (These work when it is just the two of you or also if you are ever getting together with other couples)
3. Bowling (I guess this could be considered with number one) however, dinner and bowling go quite nice together sometimes
4. Take a train from Grapevine to Fort Worth
5. Zoo (also good if kids are involved)
6. Workout together (whether at a gym or just outside, or around the house)--this might not be your idea of fun but it is always easier to workout with somebody--my husband comes to do yoga with me sometimes and then we go out for a yogurt or movie or whatever we decide to do that evening
7. Improv comedy show---somewhat like a movie but you are free to talk a little bit more---my favorite is Adlibs.com
8. Couples Massage
9. Paint or some other artistic thing together
10. Cooking classes for couples (there are some different options around Dallas and Fort Worth)
11. Wine Tastings or even a make your own wine (in Grapevine, TX)
12. Museums (art, science, etc. )
Ok, so I know these are kind of all over the place, and I didn't have many specifics, but just search the ones you are interested in because there is a lot on google or even the different city websites.
