I have not used it yet, but my sister just switched her membership to them after a 2 week free trial. She LOVES it and I am thinking of trying them out too.

I have checked it out before and liked it alot I got one week free as a trial run, it balances between cardio and weight lifting (which is actually hydrolics) you constantly move for 30 min and I do believe it works best of all it is all women so you don't have to worry about there being any men around. I would have done it if I could afford it but my funds are as such that I cannot join any club. I hope this helps. :)

I joined a couple of yrs ago to lose some pounds before my wedding. I wasn't that impressed with it. It seemed to drag as you went around the circle however many times depending on which Curves you go to. I am not a fan of working out so if I am watching the clock the entire time I'm not going to last for long.
I joined Jazzercise a couple of months ago and LOVE it. It is an hour class and it's over before you know it. It's a lot of fun.

I had a membership YEARS ago - I loved it. Don't waste your money on the diet plan, though - South Beach works much faster, much cheaper.

If you're used to weights - especially free, it's not the same. If you're already in pretty good shape, it's probably not the gym for you. If you're trying to get back in shape - or get in shape for the first time, it offers a nice combination of toning and cardio work.

I joined about a year ago but had to discontinue my membership due to financial strains and schedule conflicts. I joined the one in Waxahachie, which is closing down for good. It was the original one in the area so they were not included in the new rules of no rubber band and weight training. The newer Curves just have the equipment and no supplements such as rubber bands or weights. I did not like that aspect as I really had a good workout with the weights and bands mixed in.

If I could afford to go back, I would but I would take my own bands and possibly weights (if allowed by management). However, I purchased a treadmill to use here at home since it takes about $8.00 these days just for me to drive into Waxahachie.

Hope that helps :0)

I joined and didn't like it at all. Unless you go with a friend, I found it to be boring. I love Jazzercise. It's fun and they play music I know and like and they change the routines up every couple of weeks so you don't get bored. I've done Jazzercise off and on for many many years. I'm always glad when I go and you see results. Plus, most of them have a babysitter. Curves does not provide babysitting services.

I joined Curves last fall after I had my daughter at the end of July. I enjoy my workout whenever I go there.

I went there a few years back and lost almost 70 lbs in 8 months!! I was doing the diet along with it, but it worked. I felt great!! I absolutely love it!! I still try to go now but with work and my 10 month old i rarely have time for "extra-curricular activities". I highly recommend it though.
