My kids loved the books. Read some! It'll give you more ideas. Maybe give the books out as gifts instead of bags of candy. You could have a cake in the shape of a big yellow hat.

My son LOVES Curious George and I have to admit, I love it as well. It is one of those shows I really enjoy watching with him.
Curious George is a very Math and Science based show. Each episode subtly focuses on math and science ideas. There are lots of sites that give great ideas for Curious George parties.

why don't you make the cake as "the yellow hat" that the man in the yellow hat wears that might be easier to do ... not too sure on george myself I know he likes mischeif.

Curious George is awesome; I'm so excited for your daughter that she chose something more unique than a princess party! What comes to my mind is the man in the yellow hat. Check out orientaltrading.com and birthdayexpress.com, they have all kinds of party stuff. Curious George does all kinds of things that can be incorporated into a party: dinosaur digs, soapy/bubbly water games, playing doctor; if you find one of his books at library or bookstore, you'll get tons of ideas. Have fun!

Fantastic theme! You could even try reading them a book! Well, you have to have balloons, every child likes when he floats off with the bunch of balloons! Games could involve balloons, pass the balloon under your chin to the next person.... and of course Pin the Tail on the Monkey!
if you cant find Curious George paper goods ,maybe some jungle theme plates and cups and a blow up palm tree. Hang lots of green streamers to look like vines. and a few bunches of paper bananas hanging up high. make yellow hats for kids to wear. just a simple headband with the front of a big yellow hat.
How cute would a whole bowl full of bananas look in the middle of the jungle themed table!
For goody bags you could give each child a dollar store puzzle with a note saying Don't eat the Pieces! and/or when he goes to the zoo he feeds the animals peanuts, a baggie of whole peanuts to take home with a note saying Don't feed the Animals! (no mess, no choking and no allergy problems at the party) Have fun!

Hi.
We did a curious george party for my daughter's 3rd, and it was fun! You can buy all the Curious George party materials at Party City or on-line if you have time. Most of the bakeries will have a Curious George cake, too. Mine didn't at the time, so I just bought a Curious George toy (the monkey in an airplane) and had the bakery put that on top of the cake. It was really cute. Instead of goodie bags, I gave each party guest a small CG book to take home. I'm sure you could find some monkey-themed party games on-line, too. Have fun!
