My husband and i are talking about going on a crusie and this would be the first time for me. I was wondering if anyone has or can recommend what cruise lines to look at and should we take are 7 year old along with us.

Thank you

What can I do next?

Hi S., I have an internet travel site, www.lonastravel.biz.
The Cruise line I would recommend is Carnival. They have special activities just for kids.
The newest cruise line out of Tampa is the Inspiration, 3-7 day cruises.
Go to my site and look at the groups already planned and see if any day is good for you.
You will get the group rates. If I can help, email me. Happy Cruising. L.

Me and my ex went on a cruise a couple of years ago and had a great time. No kids with us though. I did see a lot of kids there doing all kinds of activities. The name of the cruise line I would recommend is Norwegian Cruise Lines. I say you will have a good time either with the kids or just you and your husband.

Hi S.,

We went on a cruise with the extended family this past Thanksgiving and took our 3 & 4 year olds with us. It was Royal Carribean and I was so impressed with the camp they offered for the kids. We had the option to keep our kids in camp almost all day, every day. While at sea, they were closed for a couple of hours around lunch time but when we were in a port, they were open from 1/2 an hour before we docked to late, late at night (1:00 am!!) We kept the kids with us some of the time, but it was sooooooo nice to have the day to ourself some of the time, too. The camp staff was great and my kids still talk about some of them, 2 months after the cruise.

I have never been on a cruise either but when i looked at your request I had to say... IF YOU HAVE THE CHANCE TO DO THIS AND A SAFE PLACE TO SEND YOUR 7 YEAR OLD! DO IT! DO NOT TAKE THE CHILD! TAKE THIS TIME TO REALLY RECONNECT TO YOUR HUSBAND! ENJOY YOUR SELF. BREATH!

Sorry, I just wish I could get away from my kids and go on a luxurious cruise right about now!

Have FUN!
K. J.
