So What Happened?™

I was on Remicaid in the past, but my last infusion I had a terrible allergic reaction!! I thought I was having a heart attack, got short of breath, broke out in hives, and got a severe sinus infection from it!

I have had Chron's disease since 1986 and I am a colostomate. Have you tried Remicade? Changed my life!!!! I feel like a new woman! I have had a baby on Remicade and breastfeed on it because it doesn't pass into breastmilk. Brilliant drug!

The ONLY drug I am on now is Remicade!

There is another drug out there like remicade but you inject yourself and it does NOT have mouse cells (why some people react to it). I think it is Humira.

I have a few pals with Chron's and they swear by Black Cherry juice as well!

Hi L.,
I belong to a website that allows free access to audios on health issues. There is an excellent one there on digestive disorders that addresses Crohns. I can make a copy on cd and sent it to you or give you the website. Let me know.

I myself have not been threw anything like this but my sister was just diagnosed with Crohns she has lost all her hair and is now wearing a wig. She to went threw months and months of pain and sickness every time she turned around she was getting sick. They would put her on all kinds of medicine which yes she will still have too take for the rest of her life but, she had surgery done in January... They removed her colon and bagged her intestines on the outside of her body.. Yes she now uses a poop bag on the outside of her body and all, and it has taken her 2 month to recover from the surgery but she is no longer getting sick anymore and is back to work as a nurse 3rd shift.. No her life will never be normal but she is bouncing back to being herself again and she said that she feels so much better. Not sure if this is an option for you or anything that has ever been brought up too you? I just wanted to express to you what she had done to solve her terrible sickness due to the Crohns and how much better she feels since she had it done...
Good Luck too you!!!

My MIL has Crohn's too and has had it for MANY years and several surgeries too. Recently she has been drinking Monavie and has much relief from it! It's the only thing that has ever helped her. She doesn't know why, and didn't start drinking it to help with Crohn's but has noticed that since she started drinking it, her flare ups have gone away. She is amazed and can't explain it, but is thrilled with the results! It's worth a try. Sorry you have to deal with that. Hope you feel better!
