Crock Pot Recommendations

My trusty crockpot just took a dump...quite literally.....it cracked and dumped juice from the night's dinner into the base. So, now I'm looking for a new one. I had an oval Rival and liked it okay. I liked the timer option of 4,6,8 or 10 hours, but if I started it at 4 hours (which I only assume was the "high" setting), then changed it midway through to the 10 hour, or a lower setting, the time frame didn change, just the temperature. Anyway, just looking for a great new crockpot. Let me know if you like/don't like the one you have. Thanks a lot ladies!!!!

BTW, my crockpot cracked almost 2weeks ago, and I've gone to use it, only to remember I no longer had it, about 6 times!! Didn't realize how often I did use it!LOL!

I'd like some great crock pot recipes!!

Second the West Bend! With the removable "pot", you can brown on the stove and then put it on the heating base. We had a Rival for years and at the recommendation of a relative, got this one instead. Will never go back. The food tastes better & cleanup is easy.

I have a large Kitchen Aid Slow Cooker KSC700 which I love! The quality is excellent and it cooks up a storm. Settings go from buffet to high and it also has a timed setting.

I bought the West Bend Oblong Slow Cooker due to extremely high reviews online (as in perfect) and haven't been disappointed. This site won't let me post a link to the reviews, but just go to Target's site and type in the name above.

This is my first slow cooker and it's worked really well. It cooks items in the time frame the recipes specify and the oblong shape works well for cuts of meat like tenderloin. I also love that it's super easy to clean out. Everything washes away with little to no scrubbing.

I asked for and received the Hamilton Beach programmable crock pot for Christmas--and LOVE it!! I've never had a programmable or digital one, and it's awesome. I specifically wanted the one that has a lid that latches (I do a lot of pot lucks). It also comes with a plug-in meat thermometer and spoon that attaches to the lid. You can set the programs for: time (minutes to hours), high/low/warm, and for temperature (put the thermometer in your meat and set for Xdegrees! It cost ~$60 and is well worth it!
