Crib Bumper Issues!

I would get rid of the bumper. My girls never had them and my twins are 18 months now. Yes they're legs can go through the posts, but at this age it's not an issue and they are able to pull their legs back in on their own. It was really before they started crawling that they would get stuck and even then it was rare.

I never used one but what about a crib tent you said your daughter is a climber so not only will it prevent her from being able to climb out in the description it says prevents limbs from getting stuck inbetween rails because it covers the entire interior of the crib.

This is what I recommend; it's worked for us: instead of tying the bumper around the edge resting gently on top of the mattress, actually tuck the bumper in around the sides of the mattress down about an inch or two. The bumper will prevent her limbs from getting between the bars, and she can't get her foot under it either. Should take care of the issue in the corner at least. Not sure about getting her leg stuck higher. Good luck!

take the bumpers out of the crib. sheis old enough not to need them. my son never had bumpers in his crib and he slept with just a blanket

i highly recommend a crib tent. at 16 months my son was climbing out of his crib, and at that point i felt he was too young for the transition to a toddler bed. he never got his foot stuck, but with the way the crib tent works it would have been impossible for him to do so. the netting goes down the side rails, under the mattress, and makes a neat little dome on top. well worth the money, and you're killing two birds with one stone. good luck, hope this helps.

try a crib tent. baies r us sells them for about $70; the mesh covers the bars and the inside, and the baby cannot climb out! we have one and it is the only thing that keeps my 20 month old daughter from hoisting herself over the side. and a great perk is she can't stick limbs out between the side slats now!

I loved this crib liner for my son!

You didn't say if she was trying to climb out of her crib and that is why her foot is getting caught higher than the bumber goes... it does sound like this could be the cause.
You may want to think about transitioning her to a toddler bed now.
My 2nd child was 18 months old when I put him in a toddler bed and it worked out well for us.

I wove mine in and out of the slots.. could that work because it makes the bumper even tighter?

When my youngest was 18 months old he figured out how to climb out of his crib...absolute NIGHTMARE!! Someone suggested that I get a crib tent (I had never heard of one). It was a blessing. It has a mesh that goes inside the crib and the mattress goes inside it. I have only had to close it twice and he hasn't climbed out of his crib since. I think this may help your situation as well. She won't be able to get her feet outside the crib to get stuck.
