Well it could be nothing or it could mean there is a problem. You should call your doc to get check out just to be safe. light cramping early on in pregnancy is pretty normal. I got it with both my pregnancies and I have been told lots of women do which is one reason some don't know they are pregnant because they think the cramps are due to their period about to start. As for the bleeding......it also happens to lots of women and their babies turn out to be fine. But any bleeding is not considered normal and needs to be checked out. I had some bleeding with my first pregnancy and ended up on bedrest for about 3 weeks. Me and my baby turned out fine but I did need some medical attention. So please call you doc.

get to the ob and have your estrogen levels checked in some cases it is not unheard they told me some women just do this and dont miscarry but in cases like mine I had a miscarriage.

I had some light spotting around the 5th week with my first pregnancy. i called my nurse and she said that can happen and to just monitor the amount of blood. everything turned out okay, but i would recommend just making a call to your doctor's office tomorrow morning.

It really depends on how much spotting, and what color it is.

I spotted during the 8th and 12th weeks with my first. And the best info that i could find and even get from my doc was that it could go either way.
Generally, if the blood is bright red, and increasing in amount, that's a bad sign. If the blood is brown (or turning brown) then it's "old blood" and could be from implantation, sex, etc... Unfortunately you can't do much but wait it out. Cramping is VERY normal during pregnancy, particularly the early stages. But again, if it's more severe (or getting more severe) than normal period cramps, it's not a good sign.

Hopefully that helps. Googling this stuff and reading feedback is enough to drive anyone mad when you're already stressed out about it. Those are the broadest guidelines that I found during my time.

I am pregnant and have cramps and had them with my first pregnancy too. I think it's just your uterus expanding. I never had spotting but a friend of mine did and her 2 babies are fine. Good luck!
