Cramping is usually pretty normal in early pregnancy. Unless it is severe or has bleeding with it, I wouldn't worry about it too much. BUT, it is always good to call your Dr or at least the nurse's line for peace of mind. Congrats!

Never be afraid to call your OBGYN with questions. That's what they're there for and that's why they make the big bucks! I had a lot of cramping with my second and third pregnancies at the very beginning, but eventually it went away and all was well. I think it's called implantation cramping.

it is probably just your uterus stretching out to accommodate the new baby... I had some pretty intense aches and pains in the beginning of my second pregnancy but after a few weeks they subsided. I did call to be safe, and the nurse asked me a series of questions... told me to drink plenty of water and call if I had any bleeding.

BUT especially with a previous miscarriage, you may want to call your doctor just to be safe. Don't worry, any good doctor would rather you call about the slightest worry (itchy legs, headaches, aches and pains) than have you not call and get into trouble. CALL if you have any additional symptoms like bleeding.Chances are they wont have you rush in unless your answers bring up any red flags!

I had a lot of cramping the first trimester with my pregnancies, but was told it was just the uterus and abdominal muscles stretching to prepare for the pregnancy. It sounds normal, but never hesitate to call your doctor or nurse. They can really help ease your mind. Congrats on your pregnancy!

I had issues like this will all three of my pregnancies, the cramps brought me to the floor with all of them... but it is never good to stress when pregnant so if you need a little reassurance...give them a call and get checked out.
