Cramping, Bloating and Gas During pregnancy?!!Help

I am 9 weeks pregnant and without fail right around before I eat lunch and afterwards (way into the evening) I am suffer from cramp, bloating gassy feeling.
This happened during my 1st pregnancy and unfortunate that’s all I keep remembering of that pregnancy because I was miserable. I use to chew on 1 GasX but hated that chalky taste and it really did not give me relief, I took it out of desperation. I have tried everything, not been hungry for so long, drinking water before or after or soda , walking around and I cannot seem to shake this horrible feeling. It is so uncomfortable it makes me want to throw up, and so far(fingers crossed) I don’t have any other symptoms.
Has anyone suffered from cramps, bloating and gas (yes all 3 at the same time) and found some relief, preferably non medicated. Help I really want to enjoy this pregnancy, the 1st time round did not start this early, it started around 6-7 months.

Thanks so much

What can I do next?

Try putting a peppermint in warm water and letting it melt a little or just suck on a peppermint or half of one. That settles stomaches well. A gassy baby will also enjoy the 1/2 peppermint in a bottle of warm water.

Anything with ginger in it. If you can stand the raw ginger, grate some and make a tea...if not, gingerale is good also. I also lived on Tums with my first one, liked it better than Gas X or rolaids and it had additional calium. Also, if you are taking additional iron, you may want to switch to Slow FE, it is a slow acting iron and didn't make me as bloated and slow.
Good luck!

Try a quality digestive enzyme from Whole Foods, as they will refund your money (w/reciept)if it doesn't work for you. I hope you feel better soon. I did not enjoy my pregnancies, so I feel for you.

I would definately try digestive enzymes and probiotics like yoghurt. If you want to really go hardcore try drinking a green smoothie every day with fresh raw greens in it. It would cure your digestive problems and give you tons of great vitamins and minerals to the new baby being formed.
I have a 2 and a half year old boy and one of my best friends has a just turning two year old boy. Maybe we can get together for a playdate sometime. <____@____.com> We live in South Austin.

Don't know if this will work for you or not, but I took papaya tablets during my pregnancy and they relieved a lot of the symptoms you are having. I would get the tablets from a health food store (GNC has them) as the ones I've seen in the grocery store have fillers. You can chew a couple of tablet before and after meals and they taste good. I used them when my boys were little and complained of stomach aches and 9 times out of 10 they did the trick.

try eating small frequent healthy meals instead of three meals a day. Don't ever let your stomach get empty. Also, ppermint and chamomile settle the stomach, try sipping on some tea. Gas is unfortunately a common ailment of pregnancy & like mentioned earlier if you let your stomach get empty when you are pregnant it can cause nausea and cramps. I suggest having grapes, crackers, nuts (minus Brazil nut because of the radiation), etc. around as food you can munch on through out the day. Also, if you are not having at LEAST 32 oz of water, dehydration can cause similiar problem and much worse. While you are pregnant you should try drinking as close to a 64 oz or more as possible, it will actually help you not retain water if you are well hydrated.

Gas x if your dr will let you take it is great for this, I never used the kind you chew also an antacid will help you as well.
