Couple Halloween Costume Ideas
I am not a creative thinker. My husband and I were invited to a Halloween party! I want to go and wear something creative and not typical(like batman and catwoman, or barbie and ken), but I dont want to spend alot, I have been brain storming and cant not think of anything that we both agree on. I would like to spend little to nothing if possible.. Any ideas or suggestions?

I'm with ya! I'm big on recycling costumes especially when it's a group of people who didn't see last year's if it's a repeat or it's two different parties wearing the same one in the same year! Anyway-last year my hubs and I were Dr. Freud and a was his 'freudian slip.' Literally I wore a slip with a sign that said 'super ego' and everyone (who got it) loved it and it was sooooooo easy! Justin wore a grey suit jacket and he borrowed the grey bowler hat and a bought the white wig and beard.
happy hunting and halloween! :)

How fun! My DH and I went to a great couples' Halloween party last year and here are some of my favorites:
*Dr/ patient
*cheerleader/ football player
*hippies
*Fanny Mae/ Freddy Mac (both dressed all in black with funny accessories: cigar, mustache, feather boa, paper money, $ necklace, etc....)
*pirates
*Peter Pan/ Tinkerbell
Have fun and good luck! With a little creativity, you probably won't need t spend too much either:-)

B., a very simple and creative costume is to go as Black -"Eye" p's. All you need is 2 sheets of brown poster board. Pencil draw a giant letter P on each sheet. Cut them out. Paper punch a hole on the top, left and right side. Tie a piece of yarn through the holes. You can put it over your head. The next thing is to use black make-up and put it around one of your eyes. You just might win a prize! People will have trouble trying to figure your costume out. It should be a fun time. Let me know if you have any questions.

How self conscious is your hubby? My husband and I did roll reversal one year...he dressed as a french maid and I dressed as a butler. I had a little black dress that was somewhat stretchy, so it fit him and I made him a little apron with lace on it and a headband to match. The only thing we had to buy was a blonde wig. He carried a feather duster. I wore an old suit of his, minus the coat and I added a bowtie and put a white towel over my arm. I slicked back my hair into a bun and drew a mustache on my face.
Of course, you could do a roll reversal with any couple...you could be batman and he could be catwoman....or you could do sonny and Cher. But your husband would have to be willing to dress as a girl. Have fun planning your costumes!

Are you fans of The Office? A couple I know dressed as Dwight and Angela last year and it was really cute. I think they got most of their costume at the thrift store. Dwight has the yellow shirt and tie etc. I thought it was a really cute idea.

You could go as:
- Fred and Wilma Flinstone
-the King and Queen in a deck of cards
-The Jetsons
-Cop and a fugitive
-Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde
-Frankenstien and his Bride
Hope these helped...Good luck and have fun!

If my husband and I decide to dress up, we're going to go as a king and queen. We'll get some cardboard crowns (maybe even from Burger King) and I've got a long purple dress. This isn't a party that most adults go all-out on, so it's not going to be real involved. But our sons are going as a knight and a dragon, so they suggested we be the king and queen.
Someone suggested to me that I go as a biker chick with lots of tattoos. I saw some tattooed sleeves you can buy (I don't remember wehre, maybe Target?) or my friend suggested I buy "nude" knee highs and draw on them. That might be fun!

I've had a lot of fun matching my kids costumes the last few years. I rarely spend much on their costumes, but we've had a lot of fun. They have been the Toothfairy and a Tooth, a Frog and a Fly, the Princess and the Pea, and a Cop and a Doughnut. There are lots of fun ideas of things people think of together that no one would think of going as for Halloween. Anything unusual would be fun.

Hippies are really easy. I saw a raggedy Ann and Andy that was cute. Good luck and have fun!
