I really dont want to get a pregnancy test to find out, but I wasnt able to afford my birth control for a few weeks and when I did get I was going to wait until I started again to take it. It hasnt happened yet and I dont feel like Im about to start either. I was on birth control for 6 months, since my son was born. Wouldnt the medicine still be in my system? Or could I have gotten pregnant?
I agree with everyone else, it only takes once (as you probably already know). I would just wait until after you are late, take a test and go from there.
P.S. I am on the southside too - I am 25 and have a 3 yr old son and one on the way, due in Jan.

The facts are: Yes, you can get pregnant if you miss even one pill, a baby is much more expensive than a pack of pills, you can get free birth control at numerous places (planned parenthood, etc.). I must state again: If you cannot afford birth control, you cannot afford another baby. Either abstain or find free birth control. I don't intend to be mean, but after 3 kids in as many years, how can you not know this? Why would you not want to take the test to find out? We have a great responsibility to our children, both born and unborn to do the responsible thing. I wish you luck.
From what I have always heard is that a lot of people are more fertile the first month that they are not using the pill. I know I got pregnant with one using the pill and antibiotics and pregnant with the other the first month I was off. It does not stay in the system. Sounds like you need to take a urine test or have a blood test run. Fortunely, it sounds like you are quite fertile. Good luck! If you do not want a tubal ligation in the future, think about a Mirena IUD. I have one. It has been great! No periods and no pregnancies, but I still have my fertility. However, not all insurance covers it. They last 5 years.
I have a handfull of pregnancy tests if you'd like a couple - long story, but thought it would take longer to get pregant and it didn't. I'd be happy to send one, they are hopsital grade I got online and detect quite early. For future incedent, remember it's cheaper to buy a box of condoms than get pregnant if you can't afford your pills!

You could be pregnant. Even if you miss one pill, you could bet pregnant. I wasn't even off a month and I got pregnant! so, I'd take the test. You don't always "feel" pregnant when you are pg. keep us posted!
Yes, you could be. some women get pregnant while on the pill or only skipping one. unfortunately, avoiding buying a test won't make it go away. I would get one just to be sure. Good luck to you and God bless!

Hi, K..... what type of birth control are you on? You could be pregnant but the best way to find out would be take a test. You can get a really cheap one at the $1 store. When was your period due ?
By the way...Wow I thought I was a young Mommie of 3..LOL I'm 25 and have 2 boys and one girl..and one more on the way due Dec. I'm also on the Southside. : )
