I'm curous what you might think...
I'm trying to get pregnant and have been monitoring my cycle and ovulation schedule since December. I average a 25 day cycle and have normal periods. I got my period on April 10th then I got it on April 25th but it only lasted a day and a half and was very light. As of today's date (5/17) I haven't gotten another period. I find it odd because as I said, I average a 25 day cycle and have always had normal periods. I haven't gone to the doctor yet. I took an at home pregnancy test on the 5/13 but it came out negative. Could I be pregnant even if the test had a negative result? Should I take another test after the 25th if I don't get my period by then?
Well, I got my period today so I'm not pregnant. I'm really bummed out. I will keep trying though.

If you test too early, you can get a false negative. You will almost never get a false positive (99.9%) of the time. So try to wait a bit longer and test again! You can get cheap tests at the dollar store too! SO feel free to test away. Good luck! :)
yes, you could be pregnant. If you really want to know, go get a blood test done. But the preggers test will probably turn positive within the next few days anyway if you are. The hormone takes a little to show up.
How have you been tracking your cycle/ovulation - do you do temp charting? Do you think you could have gotten pregnant after your 4/10 period?
I would almost be tempted to buy a cheap test and give it a go. But, I was a little addicted to the pee sticks when we were trying. I got a positive result 5 days before my period was due with a generic Bartell's test.
You could absolutely be pregnant if your test came back negative. With my 2nd pregnancy, I was getting negative results from the at home tests, but I called my doctor anyway because of other issues I was having. I mentioned that I thought I might be pregnant because my cycle was all goofed up, and when they did the test, it came back negative as well. They sent me to get a blood test done, just to be sure, and it came back that I was pregnant! You just never know! I'd say that if you don't have a cycle by the 25th, call your OB doctor and let them know what is going on. There may be something else happening but it is better to be safe than sorry. :o) Good luck!
Retest. If you aren't pregnant you need to know why you have stopped getting your period.
I would take a test now, actually. A HPT should be able to pick up if you're pregnant at this point. With both of my kids, I knew at 10 days past ovulation. I'm guesing that 4/25 could've been implantation bleeding. If that's the case, you're well past the period that you need to wait to test. If I'm counting right, you should see a positive result.

Yes, you could be. With both my pregnancies I tested negative around the day my period was due ( and I was very regular). A week later the tests came back positive.
I think youb should wait until your next due date and after aweek take another test. Sometimes the period cycle changes and can be confusing. This mught be because you are very anxious. Be patient and wait.

It's possible that your period on the 25th was actually a miscarriage. There's no way to know for sure, but that's essentially what happened when I miscarried last summer. I had a normal period and then a short and light period 2 weeks later.

Yep it is totally possibe! I always prefer the generic tests as well. Walmart has a three pack, and they worked for me before I missed a period! Also use it first thing in the morning the levels are highest then.
