Cost of Part-time Daycare
I am needing to see how much part-time daycare would cost for a 7 month old. I may be getting a job working part time...20hours a week, say 9-1 mon-thurs. Can anyone give me some idea as to what this would cost, and if anyone offers this service. I would even be willing to have someone like a college student or something come to my house.
Any recommendations will be helpful!!
Thanks!

I bring my 13 month old son to North Star Academy in Lantana. He's there 3 days/week (Tues-Wed-Thurs). We pay $108 per week. However, we may have had a discount b/c we signed on before they even began construction (it's a new facility that opened in July). They're great! We are so fortunate that they are right in our neighborhood. I'm not sure how this compares to other daycares.
When we took our son to Children's Courtyard in Lewisville (prior to the opening of North Star Academy), we paid $164/week for 3 days/week. Do expect to pay more for the infant room until your baby reaches a year old. Children's Courtyard was great, too. He seemed happy there, and the staff seemed very attentive.
Good luck!

Hi Krissy,
My name is C. Nickerson and I live in Frisco. I'm a stay at home mom with two boys and step daughter that are in school during the day. We have a loving, Christian home and would welcome taking care of another child. I started last week taking care of friends 3 year old (9:30-2:30pm) so your hours would be perfect for me. Call if your interested. C. ###-###-####. Krissy, I charge $8 an hour.

Depends on where you go, of course, but just keep in mind that infant care is the most expensive in a daycare setting. Definitely shop around! Some daycares offer part time care, some don't, and some will charge a fortune for it. I moved my toddler from a Children's Courtyard to a Peanut Gallery (that weren't but five miles apart) once I found out that the PG charged less than half what the CC did for our part-time care. AND the PG has more flexible billing and allows me to do drop-in care too, if I need it.

I think about 100 a week would be standard.

Yes,
between $90.00 and 100.00 a week. If they ask more than this, they are over charging you.
