Cosco Scenera Car Seat - Good or Bad?
There is a great deal right now on the Cosco Scenera car seat - only $39 at Walmart! Does anyone have this seat and, if so, what can you tell me about it? What are your likes and dislikes? Is it easy to install? This will not be our every day seat, but rather one that my daughter can use if she's going in a car other than my own (dad's car or either of her grandma's cars). So I need it to be safe and comfy, but also easy to move around. n Thoughts??

It is safe and easy to install. The padding isn't as thick as I would prefer, but I feel safe with the seat. GL

It's rated well for safety and we had one when my son was little for the second car. As with any seat I wouldn't recommend moving it around to often (let's face it we don't always want to take the time to get it in right).
There are no bells and whistles, no pads on the shoulder straps, no cup holders and it maxes out by 40 lbs, but it's a pretty good little extra seat.

We had one as a second car seat, and it was fine. It's pretty basic, but they all have to pass safety tests to be sold, anyway, so I wouldn't be worried. You don't really have to pay 300 on a seat for it be good.

Here's what the salesperson at BRU told us a few years ago when we were trying to learn about car seats: If it's sold at a major retailer, it meets US safety guidelines.

We also have this one for my husband's car, which is the car my son rides in less frequently. It's perfect as a second car seat.
