Converting Old Home Movies to DVD?

This may be a long shot, but I was wondering if there's a local business in the area that converts old home movies to DVD. I'm finding places that you can send them off to have done, but nothing local. My grandfather has several old reels of home movies he'd like to have converted. Thanks!

J.--Check with Super Walmart. I just saw on their site that they are doing conversions. Not sure if they handle it in the store lab or send it off. Also, only some of the stores have the big photo labs like the one in Highland Village. Good luck!

Hi there!
I was also going to say Keepsake Family Tree Productions. They are located in Carrollton. They are an independent, family-owned business. They transfer any type of media to DVD.

I would try U Edit Video in Lewisville:

I had some old VHS tapes from mhy wedding and my son's birth put on DVD a few years ago, and I think they handle just about any kind of format.

Good luck!

The panhandle house in denton, tx has a young man named mark that did a big box of old movie reals even back as far as the 50's. Mark converted them into dvd's. He cleaned them all up and we tried to put them in order. They are great. Our children and grandchildren love seeing grandparents and parents when we were kids.
