Constipation During Pregnancy Fix (WW)

Hi All,

Does anyone if its safe to eat Weight Watchers products during pregnancy.
I am not on WW, I can't due to pregnancy, but I did use those products
before pregnancy to help constipation. The muffins and chocolate cakes will
help you go within an hr.

What can I do next?

I have the same problem and I eat prunes. They aren't super yummy, but they work REALLY good. They have orange essence flavor ones next to the raisins at the store and they taste much better than regular ones. Good luck!

HI S., don't know if WW food is safe, but I am pregnant and struggle with the same. My Dr. Recommended prunes, pears and a herbal tea called "Smooth Mooth"-none have side effects and also work like a charm. Good Luck. Maria

I use prune juice. If I haven't gone in 2 days, I drink about 6 oz and I go by the next morning. It's best cold and you do get used to the taste. I'm sure prunes will work as well and I've also heard that people have some success w/apricots. Good Luck! I'm in your shoes.

Hi S.,

Getting more fiber and water in your diet is key. Shaklee's Cinch protein shakes have no artificial colors, flavors, preservatives, etc. and each serving contains 6 grams of dietary fiber. They are safe and good for pregnant women. With milk or soy milk you get 24 grams of protein, so it's also a good way for pregnant women to get more protein in their diet. They come in chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and cafe latte. I would be happy to send you a sample and mote information if you have an interest in learning more about this delicious product.

Have a great day!

I would check the ingredients for artificial sugars. If they are in there then it's not healthy for you to be eating those products. Why not change your prenatal vitamins? That's primarily the cause of constipation during pregnancy. You should also increase your daily fiber intake.

Good luck!

I'll tell you what else will help and they taste really good. Fiber One granola bars. They are the chooey kind. The chocolate chip one is really good. It is really high in fiber, that is what helps. I had this similar problem with my pregnancies. Also try dried apricots, if you like them. Those things get it going in a hurry too! I love them!

Eat three pieces of fruit a day and drink water non-stop.

It's the high fiber content--try flaxseed ground and added to yogurt or cereal. Also, keep very hydrated...

that's my only input! good luck!
