Condo Rental in Riviera Maya/Playa Del Carmen
We are booking a trip to Riviera Maya in August. We will be traveling with our 14 month old. After thinking about hotels, we decided it would be best to get a house or condo due to space issues during naptime and night time. Does anyone have any reccomendations of companies to use? To avoid? Where to stay? Any info is appreciated. Thanks!
S.

Yes! Through one of those rental sites my family found
casa Alma - a private villa to rent. Perfect for a vacation involving
multiple families, including small kids. The man who owns it
also has units at fishermans village condo complex and offers
his renters access to their very nice pool and beach...or you could just look
into renting a unit or 2 there if you have a small group.
I just returned from a moms weekend and we stayed at the grand riviera princess all inclusive. Also a good option for families - there were lots there! We got a good price through united vacations.
If you can't find casa Alma info by doing a search, let me know and I'll find you the direct link.

Wow.you came to the right place! We just came back from Playa from a week vacay. We stayed in the best condo there! Arena Blanca on the north end of town, just two blocks from the beach. Judy, the owner is wonderful and the condos are amazing! She has two one-bed. and a two-bedroom penthouse. We stayed in the one-bedroom and it was great because it is very modern has a huge bathroom with three separate sections. Also has a washer/dryer which was a big bonus. And the condo has a pool and private terrace with a jacuzzi with waterfall. Our 10-month old son had a blast in it. This place also gets rave reviews on Tripadvisor.com so also check that out. The site is playaisfun.com. As for the area, it was an ideal location if you want to easily walk around town. 5th Ave. is a pedestrian boulevard so walking up and down with a stroller is really easy. And it is at the north end so it's a quick taxi ride the the other end or a long walk. We did both! And it was close enough to come back from eating out or hanging out at the beach to put our son down for his morning and afternoon naps. I can't say enough great things about this place! Email if you want to know more!

Hi, S.. I have a website that you can use to rent condos, villas, and even private homes, as well as booking airfare, cruises, etc. We compete with Travelocity, Expedia, etc., and beat their prices most of the time.
www.BrackTravel.com - go to the condos and villas area and do a search.
Sign up as a preferred customer (which is free to do) and you get a lot of extra perks.
Have fun!

oh my gosh...can I come? Joking aside, I know many people who swear by Vacational Rental By Owner...VCBO.com. I have searched the website but have not actually used it. Good luck, sounds like it will be a nice time!

Go to www.VRBO.com. I use it all the time to pick places. You can ask the owner questions, sometimes negotiate the price, pictures are always posted of the rental property, it lists all of the amenities and there are reponses/reviews (good or bad) from people who've actually used the property. We've had very good luck w/ this website and I would highly recommend it!
