When you have an ultrasound, they'll be able to give you a pretty acurate idea of how far along you are based on what they see :)
Congratulations on your pregnancy!!!!!!!!!!!

There's a big difference (22 days!) between those two dates. Generally, if you know when your last period was, they base it a certain amount of days after that as your assumed conception date. (I think about two weeks or so.) If you don't know when your period was (but you do) they base it off your best guess plus measurement of the baby.

I knew when I conceived my last baby (like, to the minute) and I kept telling them that, but they wanted to base it off my period so they had my due date a few days off the whole time...I kept telling them, and the measurements actually backed me up.

But 22 days is a big difference. If he says you conceived on the 5th, you probably didn't conceive almost a month later. Why do you ask?

Depends on if the doctor told you that based on the date of your last period, or by measuring the fetus in an early ultrasound. If it was just by the date of your last period, then, yeah, you could have conceived any time after that theoretically... if it was by measuring the fetus (ie... 7w 3d) that's pretty much spot on.

Does it matter?

With my second, I knew when my last period was but the ultrasound measurement said otherwise (by about 10 days, I think). So the tech changed my due date. Apparently my OB has faith in the measurements. All I know is, he was born at 39 weeks, according to their due date, and was a healthy 8 lbs, 6 oz.
