My daughters loved the "Jump Start" series and so did I. They start at preschool and go up by grade. They also have a few speciality ones, like typing.

Starfall.com
My 5 year old loves it and I believe it to be good for ages 3 - 6. I put the icon on the desktop and all he has to do is ask for computer time and he does all the rest himself. He has been on it 6 months and still loves it even though kindergarten has gotten him past most of the ideas.
There is also a learning rabit program that I can't actually remember the name of but it has all levels of learning... I will try and find it and let you know.

Jump Start has been a big hit with my kids, too. We started our older girl around age 3. That was five years ago and they had a Toddlers one that was a good start.
Before that, we started them both on http://www.boohbah.com/ to get interested in the computer and learn to use a mouse.
Land Before Time also had a Kindergarten Adventure that was a hit when they were of that age.

My kids loved the Reader Rabbit cds I bought. They have different levels starting at preschool up to at least grade 6. I believe you can get them at Target or Walmart. I have also seen a commercial for a website for Reader Rabbit but don't know what age it aims for.

Reader Rabbit and Jump Start are both awesome. There's Jump Start for Wii as well. (For brand new Wii users under age 5 try Cosmic Family.)
