I am on my husbands lap top now and on my laptop I had the settings where videos didn't automatically start playing when I went to a new page.

This computer is an HP and has windows 8. Any ideas?

I have to turn my volume off before coming to mamapedia. They are off on FB and some other sites but I need to know how to set this computer across the board because they are loading slowly and the noise is crazy if I forget the volume.

What can I do next?

I never see any of the ads or videos - remember that awful one with the roaches crawling on the screen? That was the last straw for me.

Install an ad blocking add-on in your browser. I use Ad Blocker Plus with Firefox.

I use Firefox with AdBlock Plus, NoScript and Flashblock addons.
It all works just the way I want it to!

I use Ad Block Plus, so I never see any ads or video popups here.

I finally installed AdBlock Plus for my browser. The broken code and shouting ads basically broke my browser and this page would no longer function. This was the ONLY page where that happened, and it is telling that after blocking all that advertising, the page actually works. No more javascript void errors. No more frozen computer. I held out for a long time, til it became unworkable.
