Comfort a Teething Baby?
My 3 month old has a tooth coming in (the top middle!) He is usually such a happy baby, but lately he has been inconsolable! I give him Tylenol drops and rub Oragel on his gums.... He used to love the sling, but even that doesn't help. I've tried a teething ring that goes in the refrigerator, but he doesn't like it.... Sometimes I just resort to feeding him...
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Teething tablets worked well for my 1st 2 kids but not for my dd. I got her a Baltic Amber necklace that not only looked adorable, it really seemed to work. You can real all about why it works and buy them at Inspired By Finn. That's where I got hers. They also look really cute on boys! http://hyenacart.com/inspiredbyfinn/ (I'm not affiliated with this site btw)

Try Hylands Teething Tablets! I was really blessed with 2 children that were not bothered much by teething, but when it did seem to bother them a couple of times, the Hylands (which were recommended by several friends) worked like a charm. Good luck!

I have 2 words for you......teething tablets!!! You find them in the same section you find the tylenol. They are all natural and melt immediately in their mouths!!! I lived off of them with both of my boys!
Good luck!

hi M.
I went through this 16 months ago with my daughter. (Wow it goes by fast)
At this age.. you can get your finger in there to message. try the orajel it numbs everything but the tooth and can get in the throat too easily causing a choking hazard. Don't use orajel or any other numbing product, I did the same thing, and then tried it and that day someone told me a horror story from using it.
Wash hands real good, then I put my thumb in her mouth and started stepping up on stair case bottom step to get her to bite down.. I then went up and down.. danced around the living room, sorta exercising with her pressed on my thumb. It was the only thing that soothed her.. Jack johnson helped too.:/
I also started letting her suck on a strawberry or cold carrot, at a very early age. oh and i took a rag put in ice.. twisted it up and let her naw on that ..best thing is one of those nets from babys r us.. that you can put a piece of ice in..
Its a tough time but will get better in the fact that you can start using these methods.
I couldn't see her suffer so i also used tylenol.
good luck with it all. And enjoy every moment..goes by too fast..

I'm a fan of celery, refrigerated or room temp. I realize you may be looking for something stronger, but thought I'd mention it. I wish I'd known about this natural solution a lot sooner! Good luck!

My kids never cared for the teething rings either. I froze a damp washcloth and gave that to them... they would chew on that, and it helped.

Take some of those soft baby washcloths, wet them, and freeze them. Let him gnaw on a corner. Also try Hyland's teething tablets.
