My sons little league softball team took 1st place this year and I am looking for ideas for a gift for the coach. He has two coaches and two adults that help out and are very encouraging to the team. Any ideas would be great.

What can I do next?

I always do giftcards to the local gas station. With gas prices always climbing and the cots of running around to practice and games it is always something that will be used. Additionally, they can buy snacks or coffee if they prefer.

For the main coaches I do one amount, and then a little less for parent helpers or parent representatives... unless they all attend all the games and practices, and contribute the same amount of time and effort.

Gift cards are always the best. And a note from you and your child included with it is a great bonus! My ex was a coach for many years, and although he thought it was sweet when kids gave him personalized gifts (baseballs, frames, etc.) those things are all in a box in the basement now. The notes he received from kids are still kept in his desk at work and he reads them occasionally.

As a coaches wife, I always love the restaurant gift certificate if you are doing a collection. My husband always loved the hand-written notes from the players.

I take pics throughout the season and then go to www.onetruemedia.com and put together a montage to music. I give one to each parent and the coaches. You should see the looks on their faces. We play it as the season end party. The kids have watched our version at least 50 times.

My husbands favorite gift was a glass beer mug that was engraved with "Coach Bob" on it. He really cherishes it.

Giftcards are great because you can thank him for his time and give him a relaxing time in return! Love the idea of all of the kids signing a card, or writing him a personal note too! That always means the most.

My son plays football and also came in first place last year. As a Team we got the coaches plaques with a photo of the team and engraved them.

Most people do not need anything and are trying to downsize things.. that being said ! remember a mom saying she had a clip board personalized.
You could even have the kids autograph the back of it,

I noticed Office Max and Walgreens have tons of great hings that can be personalized either with with words, photos or both.

Or you could always give them a gift card to a nice place to eat "man food".
Steak place.. Chicken fried steak place..

I have coached many sport teams in my years and always loved the gift cards or the homemade treats.
