Clothing Iron Recommendation

I need to replace my iron (for ironing clothes). Looking for recommendations on irons you love (brand / model), or irons you hate/advise to stay away from. I'm assuming I'll go to Bed Bath & Beyond or Target to buy it?

(I currently have a Braun, which occasionally leaks water and seems to shut itself off. I have cleaned it with vinegar mixture process, and use distilled water. I've had it for 5-10 years(?) and think it's time for a new one)

What can I do next?

I recently had someone come help around the house and she tried to do some ironing. The iron leaked on two shirts and I have never seen it do that. She didn't let it get hot before she turned it over and started rubbing it on the clothes. Since I have never seen this done before, I suspect it is from ironing before it is hot.

We have had a Hamilton Beach Cordless Iron for about 15 years. We LOVE it. I do lots of special events so I have to iron odd things in all sizes.

This Iron is still working just as well as it did when we first purchased it.

I am a quilter and LOVE my Rowenta. I've had it for 10 years and not had any problems with it. The one thing I do wish it had was auto-shutoff, because I do have those, "Oh no, did I turn the iron off?" moments. You don't have to-- in fact, you shouldn't-- use distilled water with them. They are expensive, but I think it has been worth it.

I have to second the Rowenta. I don't even know how long I've had mine and I know I bought a refurbished one. I'll guess I've had it for about 10 years now. And I still LOVE it. If/when it comes time to replace it, I'd pay full price for another Rowenta if I had to....
