My daughter is a Junior in High School and over the past few years we have purchased all of her dresses for various banquets, dinners, special occasions, etc. Online. That way, there is no chance of another having the same dress. There are some great websites out there that are extremely well priced and usually have very low if any shipping costs. In the case that it isn't quite a perfect fit, we have a local Tailor that does alterations. This years dress we purchased for prom was at PromGirl.com for $100
Also try Bluefly.com or type in a search engine for dresses. It's worth the effort, I promise. Good Luck.

I buy a gown every year, but I buy second hand.... ebay or pageantresale.com I always get great prices, takes a little more effort but worth it to me. I figure if I buy a size up I can always alter it down ;)
