I had to use this drug. Everyone is different, but my OB told me not to use more than 3 cycles before being referred out to a specialist. I did this and he switched me to something called Gonal-F. That's an injectalbe drug and we had luck with it. After 3 years of infertillity and the Dr. saying not to get my hopes up, we were prenant on the 1st cycle. Also, it didn't mess with my mood as much.
Thats been about 8 years ago, but let me tell you, I sure love my twins very much!!!
We got a boy & girl, so it was a double blessing.

I used clomid both times to get pregnant and got pregnant on the first cycle (with IUI) with a dosage of 50 mg each time. The second time I ended up getting pregnant with twins. It all depends on how your body responds. I had four follicles my first time and three follicies my second. Are you being monitored?? If not, I would only do three cycles before being referred to an RE who can help monitor and figure out what's going on. I'm assuming you are still seeing your OB.

I don't know the dosage, but it was about 4 months before I got pregnant using Clomid. Before that it was 8 months without the pill(after years of use). That was my 1st pregnancy. 2nd pregnancy no Clomid needed. Don't give up! Stress doesn't help. I was 36+. I think long walks, lots of sleep, eating right, and remembering my most fertile days (11,12,13) were also necessary to prep my body. Here's to your positive results!
