Has anyone used Clix Portrait Studio in Allen? If so, what did you think? How did your pictures turn out? How is their pricing? We had been using Portrait Innovations in Plano but had bad experiences the last two times we went so I would like to try somewhere new this time. Thank you!!

What can I do next?

I too have had the same bad experiences with Port. Innov. I have loved them in the past and enjoy their awesome prices, however, I have dreaded my last several visits. I have 3 kiddos and do monthly pics through their first year. My youngest is 10 mo. I went to Clix for Christmas pics b/c I had a coupon. If I hadn't had the coupon, it would have been quite a bit more than Port. Innov. I can't remember exactly how much. They can do more with the pictures though (touching up, backgrounds, etc..), which is nice. Overall, it was a better experience which may be worth the money.

On a side note-
if you plan to bring other kids, their play area is not as big and you can't see it from the photo rooms.

I don't know anything about Clix Portrait Studio, but I have used Target in Richardson/Plano - Campbell & Coit. They did a great job on my daughter (8 mo), not so great on my son (3 yr). He did have a few good shots, but not as many as my daughter. He is definitely at that age right now though. We have also had extended family pictures taken there. I really like the price - $3.99/sheet and NO sitting fees. If you do the editing/composites or other things, it is more, but the basic sheets are $3.99 ea.

I also like the Babies R Us in Plano (Preston & Park). I did all of my son's baby pictures there, and they always did a great job with kids.

Good luck,
V.

I tried them whent hey first opened. I personally think their pricing was ridicolous! It seemed very high. I normally use portrait innovations for special occassions. I have pictures done every month for the first year of my little ones lives so I try to use cheap places for those. For my first son I used sears...they always have a 9.99 package but lousy photographers. With my 2nd, I used target alot. They did a pretty good job and decent prices, but you have to wait 2 weeks to pick up. I would not suggest Clix, though. Good luck!

We went there not long after they opened for our Christmas photos. I was very happy with our pictures. Our photographer has a child about my daughter's age so he was really fantastic with her. I think the pricing for the amount of photos that I got was pretty reasonable too. I was able to get the cd and do my Christmas cards from Snapfish too which is something I was not able to do at Portrait Innovations. Also, Clix had several backgrounds and props to choose from for our pics. We went to Portrait Innovations 3 years ago and when I called this year they were still using the same background for Christmas pics. Boring!
PM me with your email address and I can show you a couple shots.
