You could have a combination of things going on. Did this just start after your last baby? Or before?

Do you have any ringing in your ear?

When you see your ENT? They should have you walk at different paces to see if there is a difference. They should also try and manipulate your head/neck to see if there is any change there.

You would see an ENT. It is likely to be a minor nothing, but ear clicking can be an early symptom of a couple serious somethings, so I'd suggest being checked out.

I have this all the time...usually only in my left ear. I'm pretty certain it's tensor tympani muscle spasms. Annoying, but harmless.

You will probably need to start with your primary care doctor. At least where we are you can't get in to see an ENT without a referral. And with a referral it can take a month or more to get in to see one. It could be earwax. Your primary care physician can do a wash to clean it out. When I was pregnant I had a chirping sound in my ear. They could not determine what was causing it. Sent me home and told me to come back if it hadn't gone away in a week and they would refer me to ENT. Two days late it was gone. No clue what was causing it.

B., I'll bet you need to get your earwax cleaned out. DON'T do it yourself. Never put a q-tip in your ear. Instead, make an appointment with an ENT and have him or her examine your ear.

For 2 weeks, my ear was tender. I went to a regular doc who saw the outside and beginning of the canal was swollen. She gave me some drops to put in my ear. I slept with the drops in my ear the first night, and then couldn't hear out of that ear for 2 days. Got into an ENT doc and he told me that my ear was chock full of wax. He cleaned it out for me and I could hear again! In 3 days (without drops), the swelling was gone and no more pain.

If the wax is moving in your ear, pushing in and out against your eardrum, it can cause the clicking. So get an ENT appointment (not regular doc - they don't have the right equipment), and get this taken care of.

My first thought was TMJ.

either an ent a natropath that uses pressure points to relieve symptoms or a chiropractor that can evaluate the whole spine and see which part of walking is transferring to a click in the ear.
