My toddler threw up all over his stride rite tennis shoes! Any way to clean them? We cleaned the outside but they still stink! Thanks!

What can I do next?

Could you call stride rite in the morning. I have put my daughters shoes in the washer/dryer before. Since stride rites cost a little more I would call and get there advice.

You should be ok washing them in the washer and then placing them upside down on a heat vent to dry....oh wait, you live in California...I'm not sure if you folks generally use the heat setting in your houses LOL

Brittani----I LOVED your answer! Now that you mention it, that store DOES kinda smell...I'm now pretty certain its the scent of money billowing out of wallets....I once bought my (then) baby some "walking shoes" there. After the initial sticker shock, I out right asked the sales woman if they came with a guarentee on HOW LONG it would take him to walk in them and if I could return them if they didn't work quick enough.

I throw my daughter's Stride Rites (and all her other shoes, she has STINKY feet) in the washer in a lingerie bag and then air-dry them. I have done this for years with my daycare kids' shoes when they puke/pee/poop on them. If you use cold water and skip the dryer, they come out pretty perfect. Good luck!

I've always just thrown them in the washer (on the sanitize cycle!) and then air-dried them. Sorry your little guy is sick. =(
