Cleaning Gas Oven
I have been putting this one off but it's time, I need to clean my gas oven but I have no idea how. Can you guys help? A bachelor lived in our house before us and left a beautiful, but messy, stainless steel oven. There is quite a bit of burned stuff on the bottom and the broiler needs a good clean as well. Clueless. Thanks :)

Easy Off Max is safe to use in a gas oven. I used a whole can of it in there all over everything. Then shut it and left it for 3 hours came back and real just wiped it out when a damp sponge. It all came very clean.

I'm a fanatic about using non-toxic products. If you have children around the house (or small pets) please don't use Easy Off on the inside. It's highly toxic and creates unnecessary respiratory problems. We use Tub and Tile in our house for just about everything. It really makes the stainless steel beautiful and cleans without scratching the surface. We use Melamagic for the heavy duty cleaning -- once again, another nontoxic product. They are from Melaleuca which is a company right here in the U.S. that makes non-toxic products. You order online or over the phone. A private membership club. If you want more info, feel free to contact me. I'll stop singing their praises here and go on to say -- once again, use non-toxic products in your home. Read the labels, if there is a warning on it, know that it can't be good to have in your house!

baking soda! let it sit for a coupel hours and scrub. ive hear put a bowl of vinegar in the bottom of the oven over night and the fumes will make it easier to get off. in the mornign wipe off and presto your clean

does it have a self cleaner? (I have one, but i am scared to use it,it get's to like 800 degrees) anyway.....go to the store and pick up oven cleaner, rubber gloves, sponges and this curly wirery sponge thingy (they use to be called kurly kates) You might have better luck with finding these things at a hardware store. Don't use the wire thing on the outside of the oven You may also want to wait until spring as it can get pretty stinky for your baby. Or....Just throw the oven out the door and use the microwave:)

There is cleaner for gas ovens at the store. We have self cleaning ovens, but never use that function...

do not use metal scrubbers! Heat oven to 200 degrees, turn off and use an oven cleaner let stand overnite, Or as directed on the can. then soak with hot water as needed. I have also used dawn power disolver it works great! if u feel u need to use a scrubber use the plastic ones put out by scotch

Hello L.
What I use is a product from Melaleuca called Tub & Tile. I know that it sounds like it is for the bathroom. It is, but it is also a great grease fighter as well! I spray it in my oven and the grease melts off as I watch! The other great part, I am saving money and time by shopping for caustic free and harmful chemical free products. My home is now a safe place for my family!
If you are not shopping at this store yet, it is a must. They have an incredible product line! I would be happy to show you all the information. My email is ____@____.com
Thanks
