Clarisonic Skin Cleansing System- Is It Worth It ?

A good friend of mine suggested the Clarisonic system to me to help with my acne and overall skin appearance. She said her skin has been very clear since she started using it and absolutely loves it. Well, I looked it up and got major sticker shock! The least expensive version costs about $150 and the prices go up from there! If it really does work well and will keep my skin clear, then I might be willing to spend the money but before I do, I would like to see if anybody can offer feedback on Clarisonic or let me know if you have found something less expensive that works just as well. Also, would I have to purchase the Clarisonic cleansers or does any cleanser work okay with it? And how often have you needed to change the brush head? Thanks in advance! :)

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I bought the Mia about a week ago and so far I'm liking it. It sounds crazy but the pores on my nose already seem cleaner and a little less noticeable. I'm not in love with the cost of replenishing the brush heads and the cleanser is $25 a bottle (Yikes!) but it does seem to be working so I'm going to keep up with it. Seems like it works fine with other cleansers so I've been alternating the Clarisonic one with Neutrogena. Thank you for the opinions. :)

Buy it, you will have no regrets. There is also a smaller version call Mia. it may be more inexpensive. You can use any cleanser you like I love mine ,as does my daughter and sister. For a cleanser I use dermalogica.

I have had my Clarisonic for about a year now. I bought one after I had a facial done and they used a Clarisonic as one of the steps during the facial.
I don't have acne and never have so I can't help you with that issue but I love it for exfoliation and the fact that it is getting a lot more of my make-up off as opposed to just washing with a cloth. I did buy the Clarisonic cleanser and really like it but you could use whatever cleanser you want to with it. I change my brush head every couple of months. I also like the body brush head it is great because I have always had bumps on my arms and it helps with that. I definitely think it was worth the investment.

I purchased it, and, I guess on a scale of 1 to 5 I would give maybe a 3.75.

It works....but with their products only. I tried to be cheap and use my own cleanser, but I broke out with these tiny little bumps.

I use it about 3 times a week. It really does improve the appearnce of your skin quite nicely. Especilly when I am having dull or tired skin days, it makes a visible difference. But it is worth all the money? Honestly, I have wondered many times if a good ol EVOO/sugar scrub or simply a cheaper version of the product would have worked just as well. Honestly, I am using it mainly because I bought it and I want it to be worth my money.

Everyone I know who has one loves it!! I am getting one soon so I cant respond to my personal experience yet, but I have asked around and also look online for reviews. Amazon has a ton of reviews (although Im told not to purchase thru them because it voids the warranty or something, not sure if that is even true or an issue, just worth mentioning). Search around for other sites with reviews too, almost all are five star! I cant wait to get mine!!

I love my Clarisonic facial brush! It has cleared away blackheads and reduced the size of my pores. My face did break-out the first week I used it, but that's because it was getting rid of all the oil, dirt, and impurities. My face is also softer and more radiant. I would highly recommend this product to anyone. I believe you get your moneys worth b/c I noticed results right away. The head only needs to be replaced every 3-4 months. I know it's a little pricey but I believe you get what you pay for with this product. My husband bought it for me and I am very happy that he did! Not only do I wash my face more but I love the way it feels on my skin. Before I would sometimes get lazy and I wouldn't wash my face before going to bed. (FYI, I'm not a daily make-up user. Just special occasions.) Well not any more! I want to wash my face now because of my Clarisonic. It keeps my face looking healthy & refreshed. I use it morning & night. I don't think you'll be disappointed if you buy this product! Good Luck!

I've never tried the Clarisonic system so I can't speak about that. However, I have spent lots of $$ on various dermatologist perscripbed medications (Retin-A, Doxycicline, minnicicline, Sulfa..., etc.) The only product that has ever worked for me is Proactiv.

I use philosophy never used "their brand" and love it.
I got mine off QVc and paid less then that. It really does get skin lean. I use a gentler one for my dry skin

I would recommend arbonne..much cheaper and lasts alot longer. It is natural, safe and free of harsh things that you would not want in your products if you knew they were there. I have been using it for 5 years...let me know if you have any questions about results etc:)
