Christening Outfit - Chicago,IL
We are having our soon to be 6-month old little boy christened on June 17th, and are looking for an outfit for him. We don't want anything too formal - something that is probably a onesie/overall in cream linen, or a small suit - but have no idea where to start looking! We have tried Macy's and Nordstroms but no luck. We did see an outfit at BRU by Wendy Bellissimo that looked ideal but now they don't have it in his size (!). Does anyone have any recommendations of where to look? We don't want to spend lots of $$ on this, but it would be nice if it was an outfit that he might get to wear more than once!!!
So What Happened?™
Thank you so much for all your helpful suggestions! We managed to find a cute little white cotton cardigan and short/pant set at BRU, with some cute little white sneakers that fit the bill perfectly.

Have you tried JCPenneys? They usually have a nice selection of outfits and they are for the most part affordable.

Hi A.,
I had luck for both my boys (christened in different sesasons, so could not re-use oldest outfit) at Talbot. Did not want anything "gowny" or fussy....no white satin suits please!!! For my oldest, had a very nice white cotton romper, and for my youngest, a warmer, slightly fleecy one piece with matching shoes. They are pretty reasonable too.
Hope this helps!!

We got our son his christening outfit at JC Penny. The one out at Woodfield mall in Schaumberg mall had the best selection.

Hi - there is a store next to the Trader Joe's on Clybourn Ave (they share the same indoor parking lot) that has a great selection. I can't remember the name of it, but it is the only store in the Trader Joe's parking lot.

I found a cute onsie at Beautiful Beginnings in Western Springs. It was around $50. It was not too girly. Good luck!

My son was the same age when we got him christened and we wanted something comfortable, not too formal and inexpensive as well. We found a very cute comfy white outfit at the Gap. Good luck!

There's a huge place called AZUL Y ROSA (spanish for blue & pink) They have a huge selection, their prices are not bad we seen a few really cute ones between $35 - $45. They're in Cicero on Cermak Rd. near Central Ave. They're a unique store.
Good Luck
