Choosing a Hospital - Utica,MI

Is anyone familiar with St. John in Warren, is it a good place to deliver a baby?, how about the staff?.

What can I do next?

I didn't go to this hospital to give birth (I went to Beaumont Royal Oak) but I did have to go into the hospital for a broken foot a few years ago. I didn't like the care I received there at all, and the room was dirty and had bloody instruments in the room.

I also go to Mission OB/GYN(I am also a nurse) and I work at William Beaumont Royal Oak so I am partial to them. I had both of my kids there and it was a great experience and they have a new Labor & Delivery area that is really nice. Best of luck

I had both of my children at st. john on Moross and recieved excellent care. I know the Moross location is supposed to have a really good NICU department if anything was to happen to the baby. My sister in law had both of her kids there too, and they were both real early and she really liked it there. Matter of fact, she referred me to my ob/gyn out this way when I moved out here and I couldn't have asked for a better doctor. His name is Dr. Raphtis and his location is 10 mile and 94. If you want his number let me know. Any how, enjoy the rest of your pregnancy and congratulations on becoming a mommy.

I have 2 girls, 3 yrs and 15 mths.

I delivered my 3rd baby at St John in warren at 12 and Hoover and absolutley LOVED that hospital!! The nurses there were amazing!! I will have any future babies at the hospital regardless where I live. When it was time to have the little guy the nurses were the best support group a girl could have asked for! They were cheering me on and it took my mind off of how difficult the task at hand actually is! My Pedi didn't have visiting rights there but the staff pedi was great and very knowledable.

Hi, I don't know anything about St. John in Warren, however, if you decide to go with Mission OBgyn doctor - they all work at Beaumont Royal Oak.
Thanks,
J.

I had two of my children at St. John on Moross, I had a great experience the nurses were great. My sister in law had her baby at the 12 mile in warren location and she had a great experience there, I think St. John is a great hospital. The warren location also helped my mother in law through her battle with cancer, she says she had great care there. Good luck.

Hey A.!

I have a friend who is a pediatrician. She did not like that hospital. She never gave me the details of why, but she much prefered St. John on Moross on the Grosse Pointe/Detroit border when she visited the new babies!
