I second Shelton. She is so sweet and helped me with the payments. My son was in a horrible car accident (ejected) and couldn't walk. NOW, you would never know it. She recomended seeing him 3 times a week for a while. Very sweet Christian lady. Her twins go to Prestonwood if I recall correctly?

My daughter and I have been getting regular chiropractic adjustments since she was born. It is very safe and very helpful. My sister is a Chiropractor in Allen. She treats everyone but her focus is on prenatal and childcare. She is currently out of the office on maternity leave but should be returning to work next month. Here is her info if your interested.

Another vote for Dr. Melissa Shelton... (at Preston and Hedgecoxe)
I see her, and so do all 3 of my kids. We are all feeling so much better since we started going to her. It can't hurt; it might help. It's worth a try. She's very gentle, friendly, and she'll tell you honestly if she thinks the issue is something beyond the scope of chiropractic.

My twins have been to a Chiro since they were infants. We used Dr. Melissa Shelton in Friso at Shelton Chiropractor. We moved to Dallas and now go Addison Chiropractic and see Dr. Andrea Bologna. At one time, my daughter was having some sort of problems and my chiro. said he would go ahead and adjust her and sure enough it helped. It was just that one time and she was a toddler at the time.

I would get a second opinion before taking him to a chiropractor. My daughter had constipation for years and it finally turned out she had IBS, Iritable Bowel Syndrome. We changed her diet and it GREATLY improved. My first pediatritian thought her tummey ache was "in her head" and she wanted attention. I changed doctors and they immediately sent me to a pediatric gastro...(sp?) dr.

We took her off all fried foods, caffeine including chocolate, rice, and she can't tolerate milk either.

I would try a diet change before anything.

We take our kids to Dr. Joe Dennis at Dennis Family Wellness Center at the corner of Parker & Alma 972-801-992, he is a dad himself and has always been great with my kids.

His adjustments for adults and kids are very gentle. I trust everything he does on me and my kids.

A chiropractor for constipation? Have you tried fiber enriched foods and lots of water? Raisins or prunes? I would take him to a dietitian, before I would take him to a chiropractor.

My child is much older, 9, but I have taken him to the chiropractor for allignment issues that were affecting his bladder. we have been pleased. In my brief experience, it seems that while all chiropractors do adjustmnets, some chiropractors seem to specialize in different areas. For example have special neurological training, others nutrition and supplements, others specialize in motor skills. (again, I'm just speaking from my own experience)So, I would say one might be better than another for your child's particular issues. We've used both Dr. Plate of Select Chiropractic in Frisco and Dr. Chalmers of Chalmers Wellness, both in Frisco. Both are great.

Most chiropractors who work on children use an activator, which looks like a plunger-type hammer. It's very gentle, and works great without the bending, twisting, and crunching that I grew up with. I would call around to see who uses one. I have a Dr. in McKinney who uses one (Dr. Erica Mueller, ###-###-####), and another in Allen (Dr. Annise Neidrich, ###-###-####). I have yet to find one in Frisco that I like, but I've heard good things about Dr. Adrian Olivares, ###-###-####. Good luck!

I use Dr.Madeline Glass ###-###-####. She has a lot of experience with small children as well as adults. I've been to 25 - 30 chiropractors in my life and she is one of the best. She's also very reasonable in her rates. She's not one of those who is in it just for the money and has you come in 3 times a week for 6 months. Please tell her that T. O'Connor referred you. Don't do it! Your child is A YEAR AND A HALF! Would you want some guy poking around and moving around your baby's backbones, neckbones and who knows what else?????? Once you start with a chiro, you can't stop. DON'T DO THAT TO YOUR PRECIOUS BABY!!!

Get him off milk. Milk is the most common allergen and can cause ear infections and constipation.

Try Dr. Darren Hagarty at Bent Tree Chiropractic. He see 4 yr old granddaughter and 11 mo grandson and has seen our family for the last 21/2 yrs he is great. Highly recomend.
