Chiropractor

I'm looking for a good chiropractor in the Overland Park area. My back has been hurting in the same spot since I had my daughter a couple years ago. It comes and goes. At the time I had my daughter, it hurt pretty bad. It went away for a while and now it's back. I have had my husband try and rub it out; I have tried relaxing and nothing seems to help.

I must also say that I am skeptical of going b/c chiropractors tend to freak me out. So I need the name of someone that can make me feel at ease but still get the job done.

Any suggestions?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

I went to a chiropractor for a consultation. He told me that I am out of alignment but that my problem stems from before I was pregnant. To me, it sounds fishy b/c I was in perfect alignment before I had my daughter and now all of the sudden, I'm completely out of alignment. I am still freaked out about chriopractors and did not let him adjust me. I think I may try a deep tissue massage therapist.

Hi -

My OB recommended Sandra Liperoute at Fulk Chiropractic in Olathe. I saw her 5 times and it did help me. She does lots of new mothers - I was in the waiting room once and there were several new moms and their babies waiting and the woman next to me said "you can always tell when Sandra is in the office!"

Hope that helps

L., I see Dr. Steven Gradwolh. He has been doing it for 20 years and is very nice. I found some Docs to be too rough but he uses a device which helps but doesn't run you through the ringer. Sorry, I don't have his phone # on hand but I'm sure you can find him in the phone book. I hope this helps. C.

I go to Peggy Brown-Grantham at 126th and Antioch. She and her staff are SO friendly and personable. I really, really enjoy going there. I always feel like a million bucks when I leave. She's not all about seeing you all the time when it's not necessary. I've been nothing but happy and so has my back! ###-###-####

L. - you HAVE to see Dr. Lockrow - ###-###-####. He is the very best you can find. He is unlike most because he will not try to make you go more often than you need. He will fix you up in a couple of visits and be glad to send you on your way. After a car accident 13 years ago, I was being told I needed surgery and I could barely walk because of the pain. My mom made me go see him and I've been a patient ever since. A couple of times per year it will flare up and he adjusts me. I don't ever see him unless I'm having a problem. He takes the time to understand your specific problem and teach you stretching, etc. that can minimize your flare ups too. I have recommended him to others who were really skeptical of chiropractors and noone has been disappointed. PLUS - he has the most awesome water massage table you will lay on before your adjustment.

He is a really nice, honest, family guy. He will hep you out!

Dr. Decker at Decker Chiropractic in Olathe is awesome! I was very skeptical but went when I was pregnant because I was so uncomfortable and it made a world of difference. Good luck!

I second the recommendation for "Your Wellness Connection", and also suggest "Back in Motion" off Johnson Drive and Nieman in Shawnee. Both are great places that take the time to listen to your problem and do everything they can to help.

Hi L.,

I REALLY like my chiropractor. He took over the office of my other chiropractor and I wasn't sure if I would like him. I was very impressed and I actually like him better than my previous chiropractor. His name is Dr. Jade Meylor and his phone number is ###-###-####. He is located at the corner of 79th and Quivira. I can always get in even on very short notice. His website is: www.meylorchiro.com. Let me know if you have any other ____@____.com

First Choice Chiropractic @ 119th & Quivira is the best!

I am a preg/pediatric chiropractor in OP (First Choice Chiropractic, ###-###-####). I have read the list of referrals, and so far, I agree that they are all good chiropractors, and I believe that any one of us could help you.

I hope you find relief!

Yours in health-
Dr. Alyssa
