Hello ladies! I got a bottle of childrens mucinex and didnt look at the dosage. It says 4-6 yr gets a teaspoon but no weight chart? My gal is 3 1/2 and 32 pds. Anyone know how much 2 give or where I can find out?

What can I do next?

If it's straight Guaifenesin with no other ingredient then you can give her 1/8 of a teaspoon (I measure 1/2 of 1/4 mark in those handy little spoon measuring tools). This is straight from our pediatric surgeon who gives her LO the same dosage whenever he has mucus build up since he was 2 years old and he weighed less than 32 lbs. Of course, you can always check with your ped just to be safe since she knows your child's medical history.

I would just call your pharmacist and ask them or call your ped office to check on a safe dosage

you could always call your peds office and the answer service or person on call should be able to tell you or your pharmacists.
