I am looking at Children's World Learning Center (4241 Marsh Lane Carrollton, tx 75010) and Cambridge Academy (2200 Midway Road Plano, Tx 75093) for my 2 year old son. I was wondering if anyone had any experiences good or bad with them. Please let me know. Thank you in advance for your time.

I worked at Cambridge Academy for 2 years about 5 years ago. I looked into putting my son in there now but unfortunately it is not close enough to my house. I would highly recommend this school to others. They have great programs and at least when I was there they had excellent teachers who truly cared for all of the children.

I did check out both schools and found Bent Tree Day School more reasonable in price and they go by the Abeka Curriculum (Bent Tree is a more structured school). They start at 18 months - kindergarten. They are on the corner of Frankford & Vail (Between Midway & Marsh)###-###-####....

Hi B.,

My son who is 8 currently goes to Cambridge. Granted he's in the after school program, and he's an eight year old, I'm not too impressed with the school. We moved to Plano in July of last year and he had been attending Carpe Diem since he was two. While visiting the schools in Plano, Cambridge was the "nicest". It had cool rooms - a pool, I basically "sold" the school to Ivan. I can tell you that he was use to "structure". And Cambridge doesn't have that for this program. Since he's begun school, he came home many of many of time speaking about the kids that spell bad words, and of course he can resight them now. He's been bullied four times. And some of the teachers just "dismiss" his comments, such as don't taddle. My outlook on the whole taddlying concept is that I would much rather know what's going on in my kids life as opposed to him "keeping" things from me. If he doesn't tell me, how I'm I to teach him to "work through problems"? Any how ... Ivan is moving from Cambridge at the end of this month and he's going to the new Y in Allen. My advice? Get more references. Actually, if you want, my co-worker has her child there as well. I think she's two or so. I can ask her to email you if you would like.

Good luck!
