Children's Magazines

I think my 2 1/2 year old would love High 5 or Turtle Magazines - but I'm not sure which one would be good. Does anyone have any experience with those (or others). I am just looking for something different for him. He's getting into drawing and coloring - and I think he would love this. What do y'all think?

What can I do next?

Turtle magazine is really cute for that age group. I actually made copies of some of the pages in each, and we are still using them at age 4.

S.: We had a subscription to Turtle and the pictures are big and defined for identification. The stories are short and sweet and they always have color pages in them! Not to mention the Turtle on the front cover is always doing something cute!

Animal baby & Nick Jr- my 2 1/2 yo loves them!!

My daughter is 5 and still loves getting her Turtle mag in the mail. She loves the dot to dots they have sometimes. It's a great kids magazine!

Turtle is great and so is HIghlights.

My 2yo really likes Animal Baby.

I don't know anything about Turtle, but my son loved BabyBug and High 5. BabyBug is more of a board book size, and has stories and poems with really nice art work. My son LOVED when a new copy arrived in the mail. The size made it easy for him to manipulate. Very exciting. He also liked High 5. It has a find and seek puzzle in it that he likes. Some of the stories in it are for a bit older crowd, but he still likes it. What I like about both magazines is that they have no ads. What 2 yr old needs that? We've moved on to LadyBug and hopefully he'll like that as much as BabyBug.
