Children's Hair Care

Does anyone know a hair salon for kids near the Bandera/410 area that's nice, friendly and cost less?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Still haven't gone for the haircut, but thanks to everyone for their input. I have taken my children to cool cuts before off of Evers Rd. and I loved it. My husband is another story. He says that their a little pricey especially when we take both our children at the same time, that's why I'm looking for another place close to home and a little less pricey. If I remember correctly, the price for both haircuts came out to about $20 plus dollars.

Just another update, have finally found the perfect hairstylist for my children and it's close to my house. The gentleman who cut all three of our hair was very patient and did an excellent job.

Cool Cuts 4 Kids. 11619 Bandera Rd.###-###-####. see Miss. Birdie. She was great. Very patient. If this is your first haircut, they have a package. You'll get a haircut, a picture of the big event. And they even save you a lock of hair. Each station has its on dvd player and monitor. The child can pick out a movie of his choice and watch it while getting his hair cut. The waiting area also has tv monitors and games, while you wait. Make an appointment. Its alot faster that way, they are busy on the weekends. Also for the younger child, they have taken old pedal cars and turned them into barber chairs. So they get to sit in these while getting their hair cut. Its really a neat concept. Hope this helps you out.

I don't live in the Bandera area but for my son's 1st HC we took him to cool cuts, and he had a blast in the little cars. I don't remember how much it was because DH took care of that..LOL. They did a good job.

Hi Joanne,

I take my 16 month old to Pro Cuts at the intersection of Babcock and Prue - it's in the shopping center across from McDonald's and Two Fat Guys. Darleen has cut his hair several times and is great with kids. Cost is about $10. Might not the cheapest around, but they're convenient and they have a few toys in the waiting area for kids to play with.

This isn't specifically for kids; but I took my daughter to Sally's on Mainland/Bandera. Tina was the stylist. She did a good job and my 4 yr old daughter liked her. I don't remember what she charged though.
