Childcare Centers
Hi, I have a 2 y/o we have just moved here, and have no idea what is good and what isn't. If anyone has any suggestions where I can check in to putting her, would love to hear from you. Thanks,

Just a little note, I have enrolled my daughter into Edmondson Pike Child care (Woodson Chapel) My daughter who has never been away from me, has really adapted, and loves to go. She comes home everyday, wanting to go back. Thanks for all the advice, it was really appreciated.

Hi J.,
I'm a mother of a 2 yr old and I live in Smyrna. I take care of children in my home. It's $100 and includes meals, snacks and activities. I'm also CPR trained. If you'd like to speak you can reach me at ###-###-####. It's my cell. I have a MI number so it doesn't cost my family to call me...that's where they live. Hope to hear from you.

Try Woodson Chapel Church of Christ. They run a good daycare. I have some friends who have used them and they were pleased. I am a Metro teacher. Granberry is a great school!
Also Southminster at the church on the corner of Harding Place and Danby(I think) might be good. I used to teach at the school next door, and the children in my class who went there always seemed happy to go each day.

Dear J.,
I'm not sure if it would be out of your way, but Southminster Presbyterian Childcare on Harding Place is excellant. Very affordable (for this area) and wonderful staff. My son was there for 2 years and I hated when he had to leave.

My daughter attends West End Methodist Day School, which is across the street from Vanderbilt. She has gone there for 2 1/2 years and loves it. It is a bit expensive but is well worth it! The teachers and the director are great!
