Child Freindly Weekday Get Away
I'm on a budget this summer and would like to take my 2 kids on a nice week day get away 1 or 2 night max. My oldest is an 11 year old,that thinks a place with a great pool is the best, my baby is a very active 16 month old. Any recomendations?

my ex takes my 11 year old to a place on the river every year it is a huge hotel on an indian reservation (I think) and it has a huge indoor pool with a water slide. Yes it is Arizona so it is very hot, but if you go during the week the room rate is only $50.00. It is called Blue Water Resort I think, but I can find out for sure if you are interested. In So cal? SD is expensive-we just went to Palm Desert-and I do not recommend out hotel. But, I know Rancho Mirage has great places-check out online. And the very best kids museum EVER. My kids are 7, 4 and 16 mos-we were there 3.5 hrs, and left because they were closed. We also like Mandalay Bay in vegas-My kids are all about the pools.

My kids LOVE Big Bear and I am sure you could get a place with a pool. There is hiking and a lake where you can rent a little boat. It is kinda fun to explore nature. There is a small zoo there as well. This time of year its pretty affordable.
