Child Day Care

Hi E., my name is J.. I'm 31 years old and a former neonatal/pediatric respiratory therapist. I'm a full time stay at home mom with a 2 year old daughter and a full time 1st grade son. What kind of child care are you looking for? I've been watching several children since the beginning of summer, but nothing consistent. Right now there isn't anyone but my daughter and I at home. She will be starting preschool next week. I charge $5/hour on an occasional basis, and about $3/hour if you need 8 or more hours of care (i.e. monday - friday). Contact the Daycare Action Council. They sent me a list of pages of providers near my zipcode. I have found a wonderful provider for my 4 year old. And they even highlighted providers that had evening hours.

I just wanted to let you know that I've always had family watch my daughter (after taking a year off of work after her birth)who is now 5. I'm kind of leary of day cares...sorry I couldn't help. Good luck!
