The difference will be if it is in a center or home. I used to keep children in our home, and apparently was cheap at the time just a couple of years ago. I charged $32/day per child.

It depends...When I had in home nanny part time she charged me $12. hr and now that I take my son to MDO it costs about $200. per month but that is twice a week. I saw a church in Carrollton that offer a longer MDO program than other churches http://www.northchurch.org/preschool1

Good luck

This summer I took my 2 year old daughter to childcare for the first time. She was there three days a week from 9:00-3:00 and we payed about $35 a day -- lunch was not included. There were anywhere between 3 and 5 other children in her class (depending on the day) and there were two adults (one certified in early childhood education and the other an assistant). Hope this info helps!

We're paying about $5/hour at an MDO program for 2-days, 5-hours each. BYOL.

I am not sure what a center would charge. Most centers do not offer part-time child care that I know of.
I operate a licensed home based child care in Flower Mound. My rate would be $50/day. On average you could expect to pay anywhere from $30 to $50 each day for part-time care. It also depends on whether you choose a regulated home or one that is operating "under the table" and not legal.

Other factors to consider in the cost. Does the provider/center offer meals? curriculum? Field Trips? etc..Take into account all these extras.

I know part-time care seems more expensive. This is because the part-time child is taking a spot that otherwise a full-time child could be holding.
Good Luck on your search!
